Job Description:
Responsible for assisting in the development and management of a USDA nutrition program to meet the needs and feeding requirements for Head Start children. Knowledgeable of nutritional needs of children and adults by cooking and meeting both state and local health requirements. Assisting with placing food orders according to weekly menus, receiving vendor orders ensuring items have been properly delivered and stored, help plan appropriate nutritional meals for children with food allergies and sensitivities. Position will also wash dishes, mop floors & maintain kitchen sanitation controls in compliance with state and local health department regulations.
Minimum Requirement: 3 years Culinary Food Service and Cooking Experience Required.
Associate Culinary Arts Degree preferred.
