Antonio's determination and eagerness to learn were evident as soon as he stepped into our office. He had a clear objective in mind - to break free from his job in agricultural farm labor and obtain his commercial driver's license. Despite his concerns about the English requirement for the state test, Antonio refused to let it discourage him. He was determined to achieve his goal no matter what. His hard work and preparation had paid off, and he was able to approach the test without excessive nervousness.
"OIC te ayuda a hacer alguien, y yo iba a aprovechar esta oportunidad." (OIC helps you make something of yourself, and I was going to take advantage of this opportunity.) Antonio shared with us. The persistence and dedication of Antonio go on to demonstrate that ultimately, "Querer es poder.” (When there's a will, there's a way.)
