Goal: Our goal this year is to support a minimum of 100 youths to obtain job readiness skills, internships, job shadow experience and/or a summer job. To meet the minimum goal, we plan to raise approximately $150,000 ($137,040 direct student payments at minimum wages for 100 students + $12,960 - Student Support payments, Student Certification costs, Administration - payment processing, printing, etc.)
Some youth will have an opportunity to gain real-world work experience in a career path of their choosing through a part-time summer job (80 hours). While others, may complete a shortened paid or non-paid internship or job shadow. All youth will be invited to participate in job readiness training and an annual job fair that will take place in May, leading up to the summer work period of June 22 to August 22.
